Cindy Jerdee, 39, of rural Lawler, died Saturday, January 27, 2007 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Chester, IA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Thursday, February 1, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Lawler. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Little Turkey.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 pm Wednesday at Assumption Parish in Little Turkey where there will be a 3 pm Rosary. Visitation will also be an hour prior to services at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Lawler.

Cynthia Catherine (Reicks) Jerdee was born March 21, 1967 at St. Joseph's Hospital in New Hampton, IA. She was the 9th of 11 children of Francis and Lucille (Gebel) Reicks of Lawler. She was baptized at Assumption Parish in Little Turkey. She attended elementary school at Holy Trinity School in Protivin and received her first communion and confirmation at Holy Trinity Church in Protivin. Cindy attended Turkey Valley School where she graduated as a co-valedictorian in 1985 and furthered her education at the University of Northern Iowa where she received a bachelor's degree in accounting, graduating in 1989. She became a certified public accountant and began working for Reinmund and Company in Ottumwa, IA from September 1989 to December 1990. Cindy then began working at McGladrey and Pullen in Dubuque from January 1991 to May 1997, Cindy then started at Croell Redi Mix in Sumner in 1997 and was currently the CFO in the New Hampton office.

Cindy married Keith L. Jerdee on September 04, 1999 at Assumption Parish in Little Turkey. She was a devoted and loving mom to Kendra Gladys age 5 and Eric Joseph age 3. Cindy and Keith lived on a farm north of Lawler. They were members of the Assumption Parish in Little Turkey where she was a member of the Rosary Society.

Cindy enjoyed being in the sun, spending time with family and friends and was a dedicated employee at Croell Redi Mix.

Cindy is survived by her husband Keith, her daughter Kendra Gladys, her son Eric Joseph, her parents Francis and Lucille Reicks of Lawler, 6 sisters Ruth (Henry) Keizer of Lexington, KY, Laura Reicks, R.S.M of Dubuque, IA, Susan (Ken) Keune of Decorah, IA, Nancy (Gary) Cuvelier of Lawler, IA, Sally (Tom) Yungtum of Sumner, IA, Emily (Roger) Smith of Eyota, MN, four brothers, Henry (Jill) Reicks of Swisher, IA, Tim (Paula) Reicks of Little Turkey, IA, Carl (Kristen) Reicks of New Hampton, IA, and Jeremy Reicks of Little Turkey, IA and her mother-in-law Beverly Jerdee of New Hampton, 3 sisters in law, Barbara (Bernard) Bowers of Fayette, IA, Sharon (Dennis) Marker of Clive, IA, Donna (Richard) Gladfelder of Shawnee, KS, and brother-in law Paul (Perla) Jerdee of Socorro, NM, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Cindy was preceded in death by her grandparents Victor and Mary Reicks and Frank and Helen Gebel, and her father-in-law George Jerdee.
